Meet Deejay
Founder-turned-Consultant helping entrepreneurs turn ideas into action…
Hey there! I'm Deejay, founder of DB Consulting, certified paralegal, MBA graduate, and recovering coffee entrepreneur.
I grew up in Northern California, studied Pre-Law, and had every intention of heading straight to law school after graduation. Then Montana happened. I took a detour to Bozeman to get some air and got beautifully distracted.
What started as a pit stop turned into a decade-long adventure. I bought into a coffee roasting company, Treeline Coffee Roasters, and spent the next ten years building it from the ground up into the thriving brand it is today. That experience taught me more about business than any classroom could. Operations, branding, people management, financial modeling — I was living it every day.
After a decade as a self-proclaimed bean ambassador, I was ready for a new chapter. I went back to school, earned my MBA, quit my day job, and set out to do officially what I'd always done naturally: help businesses solve hard problems.
That's where DB Consulting was born.
I specialize in small business consulting, HR solutions, operations strategy, and paralegal services because the challenges entrepreneurs face don't fit neatly into one box, and neither do I. Whether you need to untangle your operations, build out your HR infrastructure, sharpen your brand, or get a legal document organized, I'm here for the messy middle and the breakthrough on the other side.
I spent a decade helping build a business from the ground up, scaling it, staffing it, and surviving every version of "wear all the hats" you can imagine. It’s not theoretical for me, but how I learned what businesses actually need, and why I do this work now. I have a common saying I often use: “not to re-invent the wheel.” I’ve been there, done it, shed the tears, and am still here!
When I'm not deep in a client's business, you'll find me chasing my two daughters around. They're 20 months apart, which means I am currently in the two-under-two phase, which basically makes me a superhero. My husband is a lawyer and my biggest champion, and we split our time between Bozeman, MT and Buffalo, NY with the occasional reset in Los Barriles, Mexico.
I live for skiing (mostly après), a good European wine, live music, lazy lake days, and as much sunshine as my dermatologist will allow.
If you're ready to build something smarter, let's talk.
